I un-earthed this sketch of Wonder Woman from my 2000 portfolio:

I no longer own this artwork.  I sold it for $50 to a HUGE fan, a police woman, who already had a pretty extensive collection of Wonder Woman artefacts and just HAD to add my drawing to it.  I originally entered this drawing into a contest for designing the newest costume for the new Wonder Woman movie due out sometime in 2007-8 (?). I focused on her look as an ancient Greek amazon in formal wear. This would be before she comes to the world of men. I didn't win the contest, but I did get a lot of strange responses on my choice of costume. For instance, many people thought that, although this looks like WW, they just couldn't picture her wearing THAT.  All the other contestants were guys, and most of them drew WW in skimpy lil' outfits that made her appear very Anime, so go figure. I'm glad I found this, however, because it shows off how I do a pencil/charcoal rendered drawing.  Since that contest, there have been other directors and cast changes to the Wonder Woman movie, and winners of the contest just got mentioned in the comic books at DC.  I'm pleased to hear that Joss Whedon will be directing and writing the script.

Maybe if he had seen this drawing, I would have the honor of designing one of Wonder Woman's big screen looks?  Oh, I can only dream... Til then, ciao.
