My brother just got the "Wii Fit" and we're trying it out tonight. I can't take the thing seriously. It makes these gurgling sounds every time there is text. The sounds are cute, but slightly annoying. I think I'd want a real human being trainer than a machine. I guess it's a way to make it as friendly as possible, but all it does is make me go into hysterics where my arms turn into wings and I am compelled to make silly animal noises at it. Can't stand on the weight measurement thingie for too long because I'm giggling too hard. It's just too cute. Like exercising to a hyper active Anime character who has over dosed on helium (as if Anime characters aren't already hyper cute to begin with).
Update: I did a few exercises and did the body test. Turns out I weigh only 238 pounds, but I'm slightly off balance which makes my body weaker. Due to my mass and hieght, my body is ten years older strength wise than someone normally my age. Bizarre. I didn't do any of the exercise games yet because video games make me nervous and being emersed in a 3-D game world gives me the creeps. Or, to be more accurate, I'm painfully afraid to make mistakes or miss a mark in games. I'm much more comfortable doing exercises outside of a game where I won't feel so bad appearing like a dumbass. Right now I'm watching my brother do these "hula hoop" exercises. It's hysterical! It makes me giggle so hard, I'm making Mark mess up. "Cut it out, Val! Shut up! VAL!" So, I recommend the "Wii Fit" just for the laughs. Maybe it will help me lose weight?
I'm already feeling guilty for not following along with my anime-looking trainer, I think it's the big eyes looking at me imploringly yet still with the coldness of paper-doll cyborg...
