Whenever I face an artist's block, I warm up my creativity by drawing a few of my favorite people and things.  Hey, fan art is fun!  Okay, without further delay, here's the pix...

Actor Terry O'Quinn is a fascinating person to draw -- so many lovely laugh lines on his face!  You know that he's got to be a great guy in person.  And, yeah, I know, I have his scar on the wrong side of his face.  I was studying a photo in a magazine that had him facing the other way.  Go figure!

Now, for another favorite of mine...

Mr. Eko was a challenge to draw -- like Locke he has so many interesting lines to his face.  I really enjoyed drawing his beard and hair -- so many little curls!  I was also experimenting with black and grey ink to create the "smoke monster" -- if you notice closely, I've just mirrored and feminized Eko's face and had it looking back at himself via the smoke.

And, as for the last fan art image here, I captured one of my favorite internet music stars: JEFFREE STAR Jeffree is "Queen of the Beautifuls" and a self-proclaimed CUNT. He's not only a expert make-up artist, but a musician, and "princess" (don't call 'em a drag queen because there's nothing that's a drag about him). Jeffree is the kind of person who can be both woman and man, a popular star of MySpace.com, and has enough raw sexuality to seduce everyone. Yeah, I love him. You should, too.

I really enjoyed drawing Jeffree and hand-mixed the pink ink to match the color of his out-of-this-world hair.  His eye lashes are extremely long which makes his eyes look like they are exploding out at you.  Go check out more images of Jeffree at his official (non-MySpace) website: Living mannequin: Jeffree Star
